The Dream Job

Lastnight was the launch party of Irelands Newest Wedding Magazine by The NI Wedding Directory. I was given the opportunity to write a piece for their first edition named "Meet The Expert". I had an absolute out of body experience as I held this magazine in my hands this morning. I popped a copy into the box of Wedding Magazines I've had from I was 10 years old and took a moment to reflect on my fourteen years in the Wedding Industry.

I feel insanely blessed to have built a career filled with joy, excitement and love. A career that ten year old me wished for more than anything else. House of Hurson Bridal was built from a longing deep inside to provide an experience we dreamt of from we were little girls. The need to build a business that feels like a home away from home. I want my brides to know that House of Hurson is their safe space, to laugh, to cry, to feel beautiful.

Being part of your journey from Fiancé to Wife is a true honor. Getting messages from my past brides to say they've bought a house, they're having a baby, their little sisters are now searching for their dream dress gives me a feeling I can't quite put into words. I have created bonds over the years that will last forever.

I would never promise that you will find your Dream Dress within these walls, but I can promise that your appointment will be a moment in life that you won't ever forget. To each and every bride that has ever walked through our doors, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I will continue serving brides until my knees will no longer allow it, because for me, this is the Dream Job.
